The Dubai under-18 basketball team has won the title of the «Kvarner 2025» international tournament held in the Croatian city of Rijeka. This victory capped off a successful European tour that included games in Italy and Croatia.
The Dubai team earned the title with two convincing wins in the tournament. They first defeated «KK Zadar», one of Croatia's most prestigious basketball clubs, with a close score of 87-85. In yesterday's final, the Dubai team faced «KK Kvarner» in a thrilling game that remained competitive until the very last moment, securing a one-point victory with a score of 88-87.
In a press statement, the team's coach, Erhad Tenjak, expressed immense pride in the team's achievement in Croatia. He noted that winning close matches against strong European academies reflects the team's collective development. The coach added, «This title represents not just a sporting result, but a significant step in the growth and confidence of this generation of players.»
