Yesterday, the national junior jujitsu team for under-16s successfully passed the official weigh-in procedures ahead of today's competitions, as part of the World Jujitsu Championship currently taking place in the Thai capital, Bangkok. The UAE's junior team is represented by 14 athletes competing in eight different weight categories. They aim to continue winning medals and achieving top positions, supporting the UAE's outstanding performance in the tournament, especially after the major achievement of the senior team, which tops the overall standings with 10 various medals, including six gold, two silver, and two bronze. The Technical Director of the UAE Jujitsu Federation, Mubarak Al Menhali, confirmed that "all players are at their peak physical and technical readiness to compete in the tournament, following an intensive preparation period during which they underwent advanced training programs and precise nutrition plans under the supervision of elite coaches and experts." Al Menhali stated: "Our players are highly focused and disciplined, and we fully trust their ability to achieve outstanding results in this world championship, thanks to the great support from the wise leadership that provides them with the best competitive environment, and the diligent follow-up from the Federation headed by the President of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Jujitsu Federation Abdulmunim Al Hashemi, who ensures communication with the delegation, checks on the players, and motivates them to give their best and represent the country in the best possible way." Meanwhile, the Head of National Teams at the UAE Jujitsu Federation and world champion Faisal Al Katbeh confirmed that "the junior team has all the necessary qualifications to continue the success story achieved by the national teams in continental and world tournaments." Al Katbeh said: "The UAE's champions are always contenders for top positions in various weight categories, and we have great confidence in our players' ability to make a strong mark at the World Championship and continue the achievements of the youth team at the Asian Games in Bahrain and the senior team, which is currently leading the World Championship in Thailand."
