The organizing committee of the 'Globe Soccer' awards has opened public voting to select nominees for the 16th edition of the awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on December 28 at The Royal Atlantis hotel in Dubai. This year will celebrate a new generation of football stars.

The organizing committee of the 'Globe Soccer' awards has opened public voting to select nominees for the 16th edition of the awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on December 28 at The Royal Atlantis hotel in Dubai.

The current edition features around 15 categories, including 9 open to public voting until November 27 to finalize the shortlists. The second round of voting will run from December 3 to 11 to determine the winners, based on public vote and the opinions of a judging panel comprising elite global football stars, including Marcello Lippi, Francesco Totti, Iker Casillas, and Luís Figo.

Categories available for voting include Best Player, Best Player (Women), Best Men's Club, Best Women's Club, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Attacker, Best Young Player, and Best Player in the Middle East.

Paris Saint-Germain is the most represented club among the nominees, following a remarkable season where they won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Ligue 1, and the Coupe de France.

The Best Player shortlist includes 8 players from the Champions League-winning team, alongside several of its stars competing for Best Midfielder, Best Attacker, and Best Young Player awards.

The Best Player list features 25 of the world's top stars, including last year's winner, Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, and Mohamed Salah.

In the women's category, Spanish player Aitana Bonmatí of Barcelona aims to win the Best Player award for a third consecutive year, from a list of 25 players, including her Barcelona teammates and five players from the England team, champions of Euro 2025.

Arsenal, winner of the Women's Champions League, competes with six other clubs for the Best Women's Club award. The Best Men's Club category features several teams, including Paris Saint-Germain, Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Napoli, Flamengo, and Pyramids.

The Best Coach shortlist includes prominent names such as Luis Enrique (Paris Saint-Germain), Enzo Maresca (Chelsea), Arne Slot (Liverpool), Antonio Conte (Napoli), Vincent Kompany (Bayern Munich), Hansi Flick (Barcelona), Roberto Martínez (Portugal), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), and Eddie Howe (Newcastle United).

For the Best Player in the Middle East award, Cristiano Ronaldo competes with Salem Al-Dawsari, Karim Benzema, Roberto Firmino, N'Golo Kanté, Riyad Mahrez, and Ivan Toney.

Tommaso Bendoni, founder and CEO of Globe Soccer, expressed his happiness about hosting the event in Dubai for the 16th time, confirming that the city has established itself as a global platform for hosting major sporting events. He also mentioned that this year's edition will pay tribute to a new generation of football stars.

Coinciding with the 'Globe Soccer' awards, La Liga will honor the winners of the 2024-2025 season. Rafinha was named Best Player, Hansi Flick Best Coach, and Lamine Yamal Best Young Player. Additionally, Luca Sučić was awarded for the best goal, and Jan Oblak for the best save.
