Al-Dhafra's goalkeeper, Amjad Al-Sayed, expressed his sadness over the team's 2-0 loss to Al-Nasr two days ago in the eighth round of the ADNOC Pro League. He confirmed that his team played well despite the difficult circumstances during the match. Al-Dhafra suffered its fourth loss of the season, all of them away from home, while collecting 12 points in its best-ever start, including four wins at home. Amjad told "Al-Ittihad": "Football is about winning and losing, but of course, we took a heavy hit from the two red cards, especially since they were to key players in the defensive line. This directly affected the team's balance on the field. Despite that, we tried to get out with the least damage, and thank God for the result." The Al-Dhafra goalkeeper pointed out that the team's players made a great effort despite being outnumbered: "The players did not fall short; they fought until the end of the match and presented an honorable performance. And despite the loss, the team showed a real personality on the field, and we could have gotten a better result were it not for the circumstances of the match." Regarding the disparity in Al-Dhafra's results between playing at home and away, where the team collected a full 12 points from its four home matches, Amjad said: "At home, we feel the support of our fans and we utilize every detail to our advantage, but even away from home, we present good levels despite the lack of luck in some matches." He added: "There is no confusion within the team as some might think. Mistakes are part of football, and every player works hard and seeks to win, whether we are playing in Al-Dhafra or away from home. We respect all our opponents and strive to present the best we have in every match."
