Hungarian tennis player Dalma Galfi had an exceptional season, winning two consecutive titles on the WTA 125 circuit. After winning the Open Oeiras, she clinched the Open Catalunya title the following week, confirming her full readiness to compete in Dubai. Meanwhile, tournament director Noura Al-Badawi announced that nine players have been granted wild cards, four of which for the main draw: Katie Boulter of Great Britain, Kristina Mladenovic of France, Vendula Valdmachova of the Czech Republic, and Vera Zvonareva of Russia. Five other players received wild cards for the qualifiers: Eszter Vinaš of Hungary, Viktória Morvayová of Slovakia, Sevin Ural of Turkey, Mika Stojanović of Great Britain, and Nina Vargová of Slovakia. The doubles wild cards will be announced on December 1st. The Russian list also includes Anastasia Zakharova (ranked 101) and Austrian Sinja Kraus (ranked 105), after the final list was approved by the organizing committee. This year has seen a clear shine from the participating players, as Galfi won her second WTA 125 title in October after triumphing in Florianopolis, Brazil, returning to the top 100 for the first time since November 2023. The organizing committee of the Hassan Habibou International Women's Tennis Challenge is preparing to launch the 28th edition of the event. A press conference will be held next Sunday at 10:30 AM at the Hassan Habibou Grand Resort to announce details of the new edition and conduct the draw. The tournament prize money is $100,000, with around 80 players competing, representing the elite of promising players on their way to higher levels, reflecting the technical value of an event that annually brings together some of the best emerging talents in tennis. Ukrainian Daria Snigur stands out as one of the key names this year. The 2021 champion and 2019 runner-up returns to Dubai driven by a remarkable record on grass courts, after achieving notable results at Wimbledon and Nottingham, as well as reaching the main draw of the Australian Open. Heading the list of players is Austrian Julia Graber (world No. 92), Latvian Darja Semenistaya (No. 94), and Hungarian Dalma Galfi (No. 96), all of whom have had a remarkable season. As for Semenistaya, she successfully reached her first main draw at the US Open before forging an impressive path to a title win at the 'Les Francs de Vallée' 100-level tournament, an achievement that gave her a strong boost up the world rankings.
