Jordan's Coach on UAE Team: They Lack Luck

The head coach of the Jordanian national team, Moroccan Jamal Salami, praised the players of our national team and their qualities.

Salami said at a press conference today that the UAE team is distinguished, but lacks luck, and if fortune favors them, they can easily reach the Arab Cup final.

It is worth noting that our national team lost its first match to its Jordanian counterpart in the opening of the Arab Championship, with two goals to one, after playing with a reduced number of players due to the expulsion of right-back Khalid al-Zuhani in the 20th minute of the match.

The performance of 'Al-Abda' (the nickname of the UAE team) transformed in the second half, appearing more courageous and organized, and led by striker Bruno de Oliveira, who made a strong comeback into the match after managing to equalize with a masterful strike placed in the same corner where Jordanian goalkeeper Yazeed Abu Lailia was positioned ('47').

The same player almost scored from a second opportunity after receiving the ball inside the penalty area, but the Jordanian goalkeeper intervened and cleared the ball for a corner kick.

Amidst a clear advantage, the UAE team's Kwame committed a new error by failing to clear the ball from in front of Yazeed an-Nuaimat, allowing 'an-Nshamae' (the nickname of the Jordanian team) to score the winning goal.
