Al Wahda continued its positive run by securing a well-deserved away victory over Al Jazira in the first leg of the semi-final. The match, held on Friday at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, saw Al Wahda start strongly. Reza Ghandipour broke the offside trap, went one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and confidently scored to put Al Wahda ahead early on, in the 12th minute. Al Jazira could have quickly equalized after being awarded a perfect penalty, but Nabil Fakir failed to convert it thanks to a brilliant save from the outstanding goalkeeper Zayed Al Hammadi in the 21st minute. Before the end of the first half, Ghandipour continued his brilliance, adding a second goal for Al Wahda after a precise pass from Dusan Tadic, who put him in front of the goal. He unleashed a powerful shot that nestled into the top-left corner (41). Unsatisfied with their first-half performance, Al Wahda intensified their attacking efforts in the second half. Substitute Momodu Gata fouled Tadic inside the penalty area, leading to the latter taking the penalty kick and successfully scoring the third goal in the 55th minute.
