The UAE Olympic football team defeated Yemen with a score of 3:1 in a match held today at the Aspire Stadium as part of the second round of the Gulf U-23 Championship hosted by Doha.
Goals for the UAE team were scored by Ali Al-Amouri (58th minute) and Mansour Al-Menhali (63rd minute), as well as Hazem Abbas in the second minute of stoppage time.
The match was attended by Abdullah Nasser Al-Jnebi, the First Deputy President of the UAE Football Association and Chairman of the Professional League, as well as members of the board of directors: Hisham Al-Zaarouni, Ibrahim Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Ahmed Al-Mahboubi, Fahd Al-Hosni, and Mohamed Al-Zahiri, the General Secretary of the association.
Recall that in the first round, the UAE national team defeated their Omani counterpart with a score of 2:0.
Following the conclusion of the second round, the UAE Olympic team continues to lead Group B with six points.
In their next match, the UAE team will face Iraq at 4:00 PM on Wednesday in the final round of the group stage.
