On Saturday, the fourth evening of the Jebel Ali racetrack season, titled 'Student and University Day', was held. The event was sponsored by leading UAE companies with a total prize fund of 584,000 dirhams. In the main race, the 'Emirates Airline Cup', the horse 'Atwal', owned by Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and trained by Michael Costa, won the title. Jockey Sylvester de Sousa skillfully navigated the 1200-meter race, keeping 'Atwal' close to the leaders before unleashing a powerful finish to cross the line first in a time of 1 minute 12.15 seconds. In the sixth race, the 'Umm Saqim Cup' over 1950 meters, 'Secret Manner' pulled off a surprise victory under jockey Andrew Slattery, finishing in 1 minute 59.47 seconds. The evening also saw a stellar performance from the horses of the global 'Shadwell' stable, which claimed three titles. Jockeys Antonio Frizzo, Daniel Tudeauub, and Patrick Dobbs secured victories for the stable in the second, third, and seventh races, completing a treble for the team.
