Manchester City Football Club has released its annual report for the 2024-2025 season, confirming the third-highest revenue in the club's history, despite the team's absence from the podium for the first time in eight years. The club announced revenues of £694.1 million, reporting a marginal loss of £9.9 million. Significant progress was made both on and off the field. The majority of main construction and external works have been completed, with construction reaching its peak and finishing in the spring. As part of this development, the club announced a partnership with the global Radisson Hotel Group, which will manage the club's 401-room hotel. The club's expanded North Stand and world-class facilities will join the Co-op Live arena, which has a capacity of 23,500 and is the result of a joint venture between the City Football Group and Oak View Group. Progress was also made on the £10 million women's sports centre at the City Football Academy, which will become the home for the first women's team. Furthermore, Rodry's efforts were crowned as he became the first Manchester City player to win the Ballon d'Or, football's highest individual award. Talent continued to flow from the academy to the first team at a rapid pace, with Nico O'Reilly becoming the latest graduate to establish himself in Pep Guardiola's squad. The club's official charity, City in the Community, continued its mission to empower young people to live healthy lives through football, engaging over 16,900 people in 19 programmes during the 2024-2025 season. Manchester City reached new heights on social media, with a 60% year-on-year increase in active users. Strategic investment in the team saw the addition of players like Tijjani Reinders, Ryan Cherki, and Nico González, with Erling Haaland, the world's most prolific goalscorer, committing to the club for the next decade. Off the pitch, the most significant change was the conclusion of Txiki Begiristain's tenure as the club's sporting director after 13 years of remarkable success, with Hugo Viana appointed to the same role to accompany Txiki during a transitional period to ensure a smooth handover of duties. Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak stated: "If we reflect on what has been achieved since 2008, finishing third in the Premier League and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the 15th consecutive season is a disappointing result. However, as we look to the future with ambition and stability, we are confident that we have the foundations, the fanbase, and the culture necessary to continue our journey of ambition and achievement." The report also highlights several key achievements that embody the club's commitment to sustainable growth, continuous development, and community impact. CEO Ferran Soriano said: "The club continues to be built on important and solid foundations, and we remain firmly committed to our strategy, which is based on footballing aesthetics, operational excellence, social impact, and long-term innovation." He added: "This commitment is embodied by the long-term contracts signed with player Erling Haaland and the company Puma." The end of the 2024-2025 season also marked the conclusion of a decade of incredible service from Kevin De Bruyne, one of Manchester City's greatest-ever players.
