As part of a talent care program, the Sharjah Sports Council, in cooperation with the UAE Cycling Federation, has organized a training camp in the Spanish city of Girona for three cyclists: Abdullah Ibrahim from Al Hamriya Club, Saud Sultan from Khorfakkan Club, and Saif Mohammad from Sharjah Club. The athletes have completed the first week of the camp, which runs until December 22. The camp is supervised by Ahmed Al-Mri, the coach of the UAE national team. The first week of the camp included 20 hours of training, with the rate increasing to 23 hours in the current second week. The technical objectives are to raise the general readiness of the athletes, improve their endurance, develop their technical performance, and prepare them physically and technically.
Three Emirati cyclists train in Spain
The Sharjah Sports Council and UAE Cycling Federation have set up a training camp in Girona, Spain, for three young cyclists. The goal is to enhance their physical fitness and technical skills.
