Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa, who leads Al Ahli’s youth team, highlighted his squad’s readiness both physically and mentally for the decisive Emirati Super Cup final, scheduled for tomorrow at 7:45 p.m. on Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai. He expressed strong confidence in his players and their ability to handle final matches.
"We always work on the right mental and physical preparation, and we know the demands of big games. Focus is on what we can control on the pitch, and that is the basis for dealing with pressure," Sousa said at a press conference.
"We have gone through tough periods this season due to match density, injuries and international commitments, but the players have shown great effort, and I am proud of what they have delivered, especially given the smaller number of local players compared with last season," he added.
"The absence of key players, notably the Iranian striker Sardar, forced us to find new solutions," the coach noted.
"I came to Al Ahli to win titles, that is my mentality, and we have the quality and resources that give us a real chance to triumph," Sousa concluded.
He emphasized an attacking style, acknowledged the challenges, and remains optimistic about the upcoming match.
