He noted that the first phase of the new board's work saw the adoption of a comprehensive set of regulations and laws, alongside the launch of a modern digital system. These measures have contributed to developing institutional mechanisms and enhancing performance efficiency, in line with the federation's strategy, which stems from the Ministry of Sports' strategy. Al-Habtor stated in press comments that the board operated as a single team to achieve strategic goals, pointing out that the regulations and laws represent a qualitative boost for the federation and clubs, supporting the goal of elevating polo to a level befitting the UAE. The country is a central hub for the sport in the Middle East and Asia, thanks to its advanced infrastructure that rivals the world's best polo fields, as well as the unlimited support from the Ministry of Sports, which has facilitated the federation's tasks and helped it achieve its targets. The new board of the UAE Polo Federation held its first meeting, chaired by Mohammed Al-Habtor and including Sheikh Khalifa bin Maktoum, Saeed bin Drai, Mohammed Al-Harith, Mohammed Al-Rakbani, Hind Al-Hosni, Mahra Falaknaz, Yousef bin Desmal, and Ahmed Al-Samaj. Al-Habtor welcomed the new members, wishing them success in continuing the achievements, while also appreciating the efforts of the previous members. He also thanked Dr. Ahmed Al-Falasi, Ganem Al-Hajri (Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports), and Sheikh Saeel bin Maktoum (Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Development and Competitiveness) for their trust and approval of the new board, affirming the board's commitment to sustaining programs and development plans based on achievements within a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at enhancing polo's presence regionally and globally. The meeting discussed the federation's future plans, foremost among them hosting the Polo World Cup next December. Vice President of the Federation, Saeed bin Drai, presented a brief overview of the arrangements completed so far, as well as the expected steps and coordination in the coming period. The board also reviewed the federation's organizational structure and its various committees, and administrative portfolios were distributed. The presidency was awarded to Mohammed Al-Habtor, and the vice presidency to Saeed bin Drai for the second time, while the position of Secretary General went to Mohammed Al-Harith. Ahmed Al-Samaj was appointed head of the Disciplinary Committee, and Mohammed Al-Rakbani head of the Classification (Handicap) Committee, with Mahra Falaknaz tasked with Public Relations and Media. At the end of the meeting, the board discussed the federation's general budget and current sources of income, within the framework of enhancing financial sustainability and supporting future development plans for the sport.
