Shabab Al-Ahli player Bogdan Planic stated that his team is the best among UAE football teams at the moment, noting that what the team presents on the field reflects this fact, which was evident during the 3-1 victory over Al-Wasl in the derby last Sunday, as part of the ADNOC Professional League.
Planic told "Al-Ittihad": "The match against Al-Wasl was difficult against a strong team that has elements capable of competing for the title, but Shabab Al-Ahli players succeeded in dealing with the match as required, imposed their style, and came out with a deserved win."
He added: "We were happy to win an important derby match. We scored three goals, and we presented a good performance in general, and I believe we deserved the win considering what we presented throughout the match."
The Shabab Al-Ahli player pointed out that the competition for the league title will be strong, given the presence of more than one team with great potential, confirming that Shabab Al-Ahli will continue to work and focus on winning matches and continuing the journey towards the title.
Regarding some refereeing cases that the match witnessed and the penalty that was counted against him in the first half, Planic emphasized his full respect for the referee's decisions, explaining that the team's focus is solely on performance on the field.
