The UAE Water Sports Federation will hold its electoral General Assembly next Thursday to elect a new Board of Directors for the 2024–2028 sports term. The meeting will take place in the conference hall of the Olympic Committee. Nine clubs, members of the General Assembly, will participate in the electoral process: Abu Dhabi Water Sports, Al Hamria Club, Dba Al Taqauli Club, Dba Al Hisn Club, Al Zayed Club, Ajman Club, Fujairah Martial Arts, Maliha Club, and Al Wasl Club. Dr. Mohamed Al Hamadi, Chairman of the Elections Committee of the UAE Water Sports Federation, confirmed that the committee has completed all organizational and administrative arrangements for the electoral process, stating that the procedures were carried out in accordance with approved regulations to ensure integrity and transparency. Al Hamadi explained that the nomination period opened on January 30th and closed on February 9th, followed by a meeting of the Elections Committee on the same day to review the applications. He added that the preliminary list of candidates was published on February 11th, while the appeal period opened on the 12th and closed on the 15th at 5:00 PM, before the appeal decisions and the final list of candidates were approved on the 16th. He also indicated that the schedule of procedures includes announcing the election results on February 26th, with the appeal period for results opening on March 1st and closing on the 5th, followed by the issuance of the Appeal Committee's decisions on the 8th, and the approval and announcement of the final results for the new sports term on the 9th. Al Hamadi clarified that the General Assembly represents a significant milestone in the federation's journey and reflects the pivotal role of clubs in shaping the future of water sports in the country, affirming that the committee is working to provide all necessary conditions to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral assembly in accordance with the highest organizational standards.
