Alejandro Garnacho, the Argentine star of Chelsea and former Manchester United player, spoiled the Hollywood fairytale ending for Wrexham, which is owned by movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The world champion scored a stunning goal in the final minutes of the game, in front of Reynolds' wife, Hollywood star Blake Lively, and their children. João Pedro added another goal to seal a 4-2 victory, after Wrexham, a team from the second tier, had taken the lead through Sam Smith. Wrexham's George Dobson was sent off for a dangerous foul on Garnacho, but the player received applause from the crowd as he left the pitch. In response, the world champion scored again and celebrated by sitting on the edge of the bench in front of the opposition's fans.
