The UAE national judo team has started its preparatory camp in the city of Peja, Kosovo. This camp, running until March 22, is part of the team's preparations for the 2026 Asian Judo Championships. During the camp, the UAE team will engage in 22 friendly matches with the Kosovo national team, which is considered one of the elite teams in judo. Following the conclusion of the Kosovo camp, the UAE team will travel to Tokyo, Japan, for its final training camp hosted by Tokai University. The Asian Championships are scheduled to take place in Ordos, northern China, from April 16 to 18, 2026, under the supervision of the International Judo Federation and organized by the Chinese Judo Association.
