Captain of Al Ahli FC, Federico Cartabia, stated that his team is focusing solely on its own results in the race for the Professional League football title. He emphasized that clinching the title depends on what the players deliver on the pitch, following a resounding 4-0 victory over Dibba, which temporarily allowed "Dubai's Knights" to reclaim the top spot in the standings.
In his press remarks after the match, held at Dibba Stadium in front of about 1,400 spectators, Cartabia added: "We only look at ourselves, because winning the title depends on winning the matches that are ahead of us. We give our all in every game to achieve victory, and this is natural for us, as we play for a team whose goal is to win every match."
He continued: "We are the champions of last season and we aspire to win the title again this season to set a record as the first team to successfully retain its title. It's important to remain humble and challenged." He also noted: "We are happy with the victory we achieved, and we knew how difficult it was to play on this pitch. There are only a few matches left in the competition, and the most important thing for us is to continue winning to stay at the top of the table."
Cartabia explained: "We don't think too much about our competitors; we focus on what is in our hands."
