Second International Taekwondo Training Camp Launched

A new stage of development in the field of martial arts began in the emirate of Fujairah with the opening of the renowned Martial Arts Club. Last Sunday, the second international training camp for taekwondo was launched on the territory of the club. The events are organized to ensure equal conditions for training for athletes who intend to participate in two upcoming tournaments - the Arab Cup and the International Taekwondo Tournament in Fujairah, which are scheduled for February at the Zayed Sports Complex.

During the camp, which is led by the Olympic coach from Iran, Fares Asaf, athletes also present are trainers from the Ans Adharaba Club and Islam Joudah, as well as several distinguished international athletes. Among the participants are medalists of the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, such as Fares Al-Kontusi from Tunisia (gold), Mohammedi Al-Jandubi from Tunisia (bronze), and Zaid Mostafa from Jordan (silver). The camp also includes teams from the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Brazil.

The events last for 7 days and will provide a great opportunity for all participants to enhance their skills and experience in the sport. The director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Nader Abu-Shaveish, noted that the aim of holding the international camp is to provide athletes with the opportunity to prepare for upcoming competitions, especially considering their short preparation time between them. He also added that participants will be ready not only for the upcoming events in taekwondo, but also for the World Taekwondo Championship among juniors, scheduled for May in Fujairah, and the World Taekwondo Championship among men, which will take place in October in China.
