At the heart of neighborhoods, among families and children, and in the memory of the place, the «Fujairah 2025» theater festival concluded its performances, held in Siyah Park amidst a significant turnout of families and community members. This embodies the vision of the '25 Years' Center for Theater and Performing Arts, affiliated with the '25 Years' Foundation for Manufacturing Leaders and Innovators, to make theater a living community action that goes to the audience instead of waiting for them, transforming open spaces into creative platforms pulsating with human stories and authentic values in a unique experience that enhances the role of theater as a space for encounter, a tool for building awareness, and a platform for discovering talents, within a cultural project that places man and family at the heart of the theatrical scene in Sharjah's culture and arts.
The performances were held under the slogan 'A Family That Loves Theater,' competing for the gold, silver, and bronze prizes for the best three theatrical performances, after the participating teams presented works that expressed human and social issues drawn from the reality of society, with an artistic imprint that reflected the diversity of the participants' creative visions.
The festival featured seven theatrical performances presented by the teams. The show 'The Mysterious Eyes' from Al-Rahmaniya tackled the idea of confronting fear through an exciting journey inside an abandoned museum. Meanwhile, 'Laughter in the Chaos' from Al-Qadisiya offered a humanistic vision about laughter as a means of survival amidst life's pressures. As for 'The Spirit of the Union' from Al-Nuw, it showcased the story of the nation through generations, emphasizing that the union is a renewed spirit built on values and work. The show 'Remnants of Yesterday' from Al-Siyah dived deep into the depth of human memory, presenting a comprehensive vision about reconciliation with the past. The show 'They Said Proverbs' from Al-Sharq shed light on popular wisdom and the consequences of pretense and arrogance, while the show 'Who Am I?' from Al-Qadisiya discussed the struggle for identity and the inner voices that shape a human being. The community performances concluded with the show 'When Colors Escaped,' from Al-Mahalb, which posed questions about human values and ethical responsibility.
The performances bore an artistic imprint of the participants in the Fujairah Theater project, culminating in what they learned from intensive specialized workshops that the '25 Years' Center for Theater and Performing Arts offered throughout the year 2025, led by professional experts from within and outside the country. They contributed to polishing the rising talents of the project's participants, alongside the participation of members of the '25 Years' Center for Theater and Performing Arts in diverse theatrical workshops held outside the country in Egypt, Tunisia, and China, led by theatrical experts from those countries, in a way that opened wide horizons for promising theatrical talents in the emirate.
