Hatta Honey Production n Investment in the production and marketing of Emirati honey, distinguished by its quality and purity, stands as one of the leading investment projects in the city. Local production of Emirati honey has reached global standards and specifications, with pioneering projects focused on preserving the 'Emirati' bee breed and ensuring its sustainability.
Local beekeepers and producers vie to present their products, while the 'Hatta Honey Festival' annually celebrates them, providing a platform for producers and honey enthusiasts to connect. Over ten festival seasons, the number of projects dedicated to honey production and marketing has grown, and the festival has helped establish Hatta as a distinctive honey destination, featuring the 'Bee Garden and Discovery Center'.
Sports Tourism and Adventure n Mountain trips and long-distance hiking in Hatta are among the top activities that captivate lovers of challenge and adventure. The 'Spartan Hatta' race is considered one of the toughest endurance races in the world, held in the Hatta area. In its 2023 edition, it attracted over 3,500 athletes of various nationalities, ages, and physical abilities, including 900 participants from outside the country. The race traversed the mountains and wadis of Hatta, drawing a large crowd of over 5,000 spectators, organized by the Dubai Sports Council.
Mountain hiking trails also serve as a major draw for visitors and enthusiasts of the sport, while activities like mountain biking, hiking, and trekking through mountain passes and wadis, as well as hiking, can be enjoyed.
The Dubai Municipality has completed the project to develop the Hatta Mountain Bike Trail and walking path, the longest of its kind in the country. It features 21 bike trails spanning 53 kilometers and 17 walking trails covering 33 kilometers, along with nine wooden bridges, 14 rest stops, and comprehensive service facilities throughout the mountain trails.
Farms and Gardens n Green areas are significant attractions in Hatta, offering a premier tourist experience in their own right. These include the palm tree farm, located a short distance from the heritage village, and 'Tell Park', established in 2004, which draws lovers of green spaces and open environments.
Last August, the Higher Committee for Supervising the Development of Hatta Area, through the Dubai Municipality, launched 14 investment and commercial opportunities to boost commercial activities and encourage and support local national projects.
