The home team thought they were on their way to securing three points thanks to a goal by Yaser Al-Balushi in the 79th minute, but Dhafras refused to leave empty-handed and Marcelo Felho managed to snatch an equalizer in the 82nd minute. The draw left Kalba in eighth place with 20 points, while it gave Dhafras a morale boost, raising their tally to 18 points and placing them in 10th place. The race in the middle of the table is becoming increasingly close.
