New Supplementary Grant for Retirees in Sharjah

In Sharjah, a supplementary allowance for pensioners was established, which is intended for those whose monthly income from their pension is below 17,500 dirhams. According to the directive of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Sharjah, pensioners from federal organizations, other emirate authorities, or the private sector, registered in Sharjah, who have a pension below the established level, will have the right to this financial support.

The allowance will guarantee that their monthly income amounts to 17,500 dirhams, provided they do not receive any other income, bonuses, or pensions that exceed this sum. Payments will begin from the date of submission of applications. For this, a "Committee for Additional Allowance for Pensioners" was established in Sharjah under the leadership of the Department of Human Resources.

The committee will be chaired by Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, the head of the Department of Human Resources, with members including: Dr. Mansour Mohammed bin Nassar, head of the Legal Department of the Sharjah Government; Valid Ibrahim Al-Saiegh, General Director of the Central Finance Department; Mohamed Obaid Al-Shamsi, General Director of the Sharjah Social Security Fund; and Noura Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Department of Human Resources, acting as the committee secretary.

The Department of Human Resources will be responsible for receiving and considering applications, the annual update of data on recipients, and checking their compliance with the criteria for receiving the allowance.

"We have a bright future for each of us. Our task is to turn dreams into reality for all people in Sharjah," said Sheikh Sultan, wishing success and prosperity to the established program.
