The General Secretariat of the Sharjah Award for Critical Artistic Research has announced the winners of its 16th edition, themed 'Inspiration from Heritage in Contemporary Artistic Expression'. The award was organized by the Cultural Affairs Department of the Sharjah Department of Culture under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. This was announced during a meeting held by the General Secretariat with the award's jury at the Sharjah Department of Culture to review the committee's report, which included the judging criteria and the names of the winners for this edition. First place was awarded to Ezzeddine Bourkia from Morocco, second place to Ahmed Jamal Eid from Egypt, and third place to Riad Ben Hachem Ahmed from Tunisia. Director of the Cultural Affairs Department of the Sharjah Department of Culture and Secretary-General of the Award, Mohammad Al-Qaseer, stated: 'With the announcement of the award winners in its 16th edition, the Arab Critical Library has enriched the cultural scene with more than 50 critics and critics through wide and diverse participation. This edition received research from various Arab countries, reflecting the uniqueness of this award and its distinction in its artistic and creative approach on an Arab level'.
