Next October will see the 12th edition of the Sharjah Calligraphy Forum, organized by the Sharjah Department of Culture's Cultural Affairs Department. The event will last for two months with the participation of local, Arab, and international participants. The forum's organizing committee has set 'Meezan' (Balance) as the slogan for the upcoming edition during a recent meeting chaired by Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Qassim, Director of Cultural Affairs and Director of the Forum. Al-Qassim stated that 'the 12th edition will be presented in a new guise to affirm Sharjah's pioneering role in its interest in Arabic calligraphy as an authentic Arab art, and to continue the noble message of the forum for the art of Arabic calligraphy for its special historical and Islamic importance'.
12th Sharjah Calligraphy Forum to Take Place
