
Within the framework of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2024, a cultural session on the topic "Women and Writing" was held. During this event, Arab researchers and writers emphasized that writing is a powerful instrument for women, allowing them to express their problems, challenges, as well as to embody their identity and ambitions.
"Writing has become an important means of the feminist discourse for discussing major social, cultural, and political issues of modernity," stated the researchers. Arab experts in literature participated in the event, including Dr. Rana Al-Jannani from Iran, writer Fayruz Resham from Algeria, literary critic Rashida Benmasoud from Morocco, writer from Morocco Rabia Rihan, and also leading figures, writer and researcher from the UAE Sheikh Al-Karbi.
