Arabic cultural journals have played a pivotal role in building bridges of communication and have been a driving force in the development of consciousness. The new issue of 'Sharjah Culture' magazine presents a collection of topics, articles, and dialogues in literature, art, thought, cinema, fine arts, theatre, and heritage. The editorial of issue #114 (April 2026) states that the 'Sharjah Theatre Days' have evolved into a comprehensive cultural project dedicated to developing the theatrical experience and cultural action, honing talents, and nurturing generations with a love for theatre. It also serves as a prestigious platform for local and Arab theatre practitioners, not limited to just presenting performances, but also hosting Arab and international experiences, honoring pioneers from various nations, and addressing theatrical issues through continuous training workshops. Its vital role is also manifested in enriching the Arab library with theatrical thought and solidifying theatrical culture through publication. As for Editor-in-Chief Nawaf Younes, in his article, he traces the history of Arabic cultural journals, noting that 'since the beginning of the 20th century until the 1960s and 1970s, they contributed to crossing geographical barriers and building bridges of intellectual and literary communication among the children of one nation, and formed a driving force for the path of development of consciousness and the cultural and renaissance that we witnessed amidst the transformations and changes our Arab society experienced throughout the 20th century. It was our fortune, as a generation that lived this journey and as writers and journalists, to participate in this path, starting from publishing our literary works, or working in these journals and editing them, or shaping its vision, identity, and immediate and future plans.' Among the sections of the new issue, Ayman Abdel Sami wrote about the writer and translator Ibrahim Ramzi, and Dr. Saleh Hawaidi presented a paper on Naguib Mahfouz and the specificity of the critical discourse. Meanwhile, Magdy Mahfouz and Hisham Azkidz presented a comprehensive panoramic view of the city of Sharjah, which is draped in historical grandeur. Khaled Awad Ahmed shed light on the history of 'Manbij,' which is one of the most prominent cities of the Levant. In the 'Literature and Writers' section, Abdelalim Harais followed up on the ceremony honoring His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, with the highest Portuguese honor in appreciation of his cultural and intellectual efforts. The new issue of 'Sharjah Culture' also includes a collection of articles and dedicates a space to a bouquet of short stories and translations. Nawaf Younes:
