The UAE national cycling team celebrated significant achievements at the 10th Sharjah International Cycling Tour, with cyclist Rashid Al-Balushi winning the red jersey. This event marks the team's official start for the year with new challenges ahead.

During the 10th International Sharjah Velokey, the national team of cyclists showed excellent results. The head of the Federation of Cycling, Mansour Buaseiba, expressed admiration for the team's achievements, noting that the new champion Rashid Al-Balushi will be a valuable addition to the team in the future.

Buaseiba also emphasized the importance of being ready for new challenges and tournaments in the upcoming year, starting with participation in the Asian Championship for road and track races, where several cyclists are expected to participate.

The national team made its debut in the Sharjah race under the guidance of the main world-level coach Richard Vultza. The federation successfully signed a contract with the trainer and Mohammedi bin Shafi, the director of the national team, and for the first time in the team, Rashid Al-Balushi appeared.

With 16 points, Al-Balushi secured victory in the mountain classification at the Sharjah race. This success has become a starting point for future performances of the national team. Abdalla Jasim also showed great form, becoming the best cyclist from the United Arab Emirates in the Sharjah race.
