Sharjah player Majid Hassan stated that the team's current position in the Pro League (8th with 20 points) is not befitting of a major club like Sharjah, emphasizing the need to continue working to improve their standing and focus on preparing for the next season. Majid Hassan told Al Ittihad: «Sharjah's 4-1 victory over Dibba the day before yesterday in the postponed match of the 16th round was significant and means a lot to us, as it came after a series of negative results in recent matches». He added: «There were several positives for Sharjah in this match, and we hope the team continues in the same manner in the upcoming matches, especially since there is a crucial match against Al-Nasr the day after tomorrow in the 19th round of the league, and we must focus on it». Regarding the main reasons that led Sharjah to achieve this big win after a series of negative results recently, he said: «There was discipline in the team from the start of the match, along with an attacking momentum, and a great desire among the players to win from the beginning, and the most important thing was achieved, which is the win, although the team did not perform as required in the second half, perhaps due to the big score the team achieved in the first half». He continued: «Despite Sharjah playing a good match against Dibba, we as players must work on improving the team's position in the league standings». Majid Hassan also added: «Sharjah has been suffering from instability for a long time since the beginning of the current season, so the team must start preparing for the next season now». When asked who he nominates to win the UAE Pro League title this season, Majid Hassan confirmed that the competition will be between Al Ain and Al Ahli. It is worth noting that Majid Hassan has played 10 matches for Sharjah in the league out of 18, three of them as a starter, and has played 314 minutes with the team, at a time when he played 22 matches in the league with the team last season, 13 of them as a starter. Majid Hassan is considered one of the influential elements in the Eastern team, but injuries kept him away from the team for long periods. Majid Hassan: • The club's management knows its work and has already started preparing for the next season for a while. • I felt pain as I watched Sharjah regress in the past period with a low position. • Majid Hassan played 10 matches out of 18 for Sharjah in the league, three of them as a starter. «Currently, our goal is to improve the team's position in the league so that we, as players, are satisfied with ourselves», he said.
