The Sharjah team solidified its lead in Group A of the Basketball Federation Cup by winning its third consecutive game against Al Ahli (82-60). This victory continues their strong performance in the tournament, with Sharjah now holding the top spot with six points.

The Shardja football team has once again secured its advancement in Group A of the Federation Cup for basketball, achieving its third consecutive victory by defeating the youth team Al-Ahli (82-60) yesterday. This game, held at the Nasr club's venue, is associated with the fourth round of the group stage. In the same round, the group also saw Al-Bataih defeating Al-Vasl (100-82) at the Shardja club's venue.

Shardja is currently leading the group, with positive results in all three matches (six points), surpassing clubs Nasr, Al-Bataih, and Al-Vasl by one point each. Meanwhile, the youth team Al-Ahli is in last place with three points.

Shardja easily controlled the match against the youth team Al-Ahli, leading throughout all four quarters with scores (15-8), (23-20), (21-17), and (23-15). Al-Bataih also scored over 100 points in the game against Al-Vasl, winning all four quarters with scores (26-17), (20-16), (21-19), and (33-30).

In Group B, Zafra secured a victory over Al-Vahda (80-79) at the Jazira club's venue and is now leading by four points, edging ahead of Al-Vahda by one point. With this result, Jazira remains in the third and last place with two points.

Al-Vahda missed the chance to win the first and second quarters in their favor with scores (29-16), (17-16), as Zafra managed to return the results in their favor and win the match by a minimal margin thanks to a better performance in the third and fourth quarters with scores (26-13) and (22-20).

It’s worth noting that in this round, Federation Cup athletes do not participate due to their involvement in a training camp in Serbia as part of the preparation for matches against the OAE national team against the national teams of Liva and Bahrain on the 22nd and 25th of this month in the second round of the final stage of the qualifying tournament for the Asia Championship 2025.
