The Mohammed bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language is participating in the Cairo International Book Fair 2026, which runs until February 3 next year, as part of its strategy to enhance the presence of the Arabic language in international cultural and intellectual forums, and to support initiatives that contribute to developing its use in the fields of education, scientific research, and knowledge production. The Award's participation in the fair comes as part of its commitment to being present at the most prominent Arab cultural events, and interacting with institutions and bodies concerned with the Arabic language, in addition to introducing its message, strategic goals, and work axes aimed at supporting the Arabic language and enhancing its status as a language of knowledge, creativity, and cultural communication. Through this participation, the Award aims to expand its communication with intellectuals, publishers, and those interested in the Arabic language, and to explore opportunities for cooperation and partnerships with academic and cultural bodies, as well as to highlight the Award's categories and nomination mechanisms, and to encourage individuals and institutions from various countries of the world to participate in its different cycles. The Award's participation in the fair coincides with the launch of the tenth cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language under the slogan '10 cycles are not just a number,' which represents a significant milestone in the Award's journey of 10 years of continuous institutional work aimed at elevating the Arabic language and enhancing its presence in the fields of knowledge and innovation, and establishing the concepts of quality and sustainability and achieving a sustainable impact. The Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language, Bilal Badour, confirmed that the Award's participation in this cultural event is in line with its vision of opening up to various knowledge platforms. He stated that the Award is keen to deliver its message to the widest possible segment of those interested in the Arabic language, and to enhance the dialogue on ways to develop it and keep pace with the requirements of the era. He also pointed out that the United Arab Emirates pays great attention to the Arabic language, considering it a cornerstone of the national and cultural identity, noting that the initiatives launched by the country in this field, with the support and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the State, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, have contributed to consolidating the status of the Arabic language and enhancing its presence in the fields of education, media, publishing, technology, and artificial intelligence. He explained that the Award is opening the door for nominations for its tenth cycle for individuals and institutions from various countries of the world, welcoming submissions that reflect the diversity of creative and research fields related to the Arabic language, and that the reception of nominations will continue until next February through the Award's official digital platform. The Mohammed bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language invited visitors to the Cairo International Book Fair to visit its pavilion to learn about its initiatives and programs, and to get acquainted with the Award's work axes, categories, and nomination mechanisms for the tenth cycle.
