ADNOC Gas PLC announces a long-term strategic partnership with Emirates Water and Electricity Company, valued at over 10 billion USD, to support a transition in the energy sector.


New Strategic Partnership in UAE Energy Sector

The company "Adnok for Gas" and its subsidiary companies have concluded a new long-term strategic partnership with "Water and Electricity OAAE" to support high-quality gas supply in the energy sector of the country.

This partnership is based on a flexible long-term agreement for the sale and purchase of natural gas between "Adnok for Gas" and "Water and Electricity OAAE", covering 10 years for a total exceeding 36 billion dirhams (10 billion dollars). At the ceremony announcing the new strategic partnership, the General Director of "Adnok for Gas" Fatima Al Naimi, the General Director of "Water and Electricity OAAE" Osman Al Ali, and several members of the leadership of both companies were present.

Al Naimi noted: "We appreciate the long-term partnership with 'Water and Electricity OAAE', based on a strategic agreement for 10 years, which will help support digital transformation, driven by increasing demand in flexible connections and growing dependence on advanced technological solutions and applications for stimulating economic growth in the country while enhancing the capabilities of the government to achieve climate neutrality."

In his comments, Osman Al Ali stated: "This strategic agreement with 'Adnok for Gas' implies the provision of flexible and stable supply of natural gas, which is a key factor in supporting efforts to transition to energy in the country, while we accelerate the integration of renewable and clean energy sources and advanced technologies, natural gas will play an important role in bridging the gap between traditional and sustainable energy sources."

Through this agreement, "Adnok for Gas" will support the strategic plans of "Water and Electricity OAAE" for achieving high-quality supply in the energy sector of the country, making it based on clean and renewable energy, which enhances diversity and economic growth, based on digital technologies in the country.
