
A recent report on the market for used electric vehicles in 2024, published by the platform "Dubail" in the UAE, showed an increase in demand for electric vehicles. It is based on data from more than 7,000 listings for electric vehicles and demonstrates an increase in demand for used electric vehicles, accompanied by parallel growth in offers.
The report confirms that in 2024 there is a growing interest from consumers in used electric vehicles, with the emergence of Chinese brands in the market contributing to an expanded selection for consumers. The results of the report indicate that 66% of the listed electric vehicles belong to the luxury car category, with electric vehicles with Arab specifications remaining the most popular choice, followed by Chinese models.
The brand Tesla maintains its leadership in the market, with a share of 36% in search inquiries, while other brands such as Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Porsche enter the top 10 brands. Tesla continues to dominate in the sedan and crossover categories, featuring models 3 and S as the most sought-after used electric vehicles in the sedan segment, while models Y and X are in the electric crossover category.
Models from Tesla, Porsche Taycan, BMW i3, and BYD Han stand out as preferred options for those searching for used electric vehicles. The General Director of "Dubail for automobiles" Aatif Rana noted: "According to the market analysis for 2024, we have observed an increase in demand for used electric vehicles by 53% on 'Dubail', reflecting a clear change in buying patterns and increased user interest in environmentally friendly vehicles."
