Stocks of leading companies in the sectors of real estate, banks, and energy showed pressure on the indices of stock markets in the UAE. As indicated by the data, although they remained stable in the mainstream sectors, the indices showed a decline. Emaar Properties shares weakened by 0.4%, Emirates NBD Bank shares dropped by 1.1%, while Masdar saw a decrease of around 3.3%.
"In this context, a noticeable reduction in interest in the stocks of the mentioned sectors is observed. Instead, it is worth noting the resilience of other industries, which indicates diversification in the investors' investment portfolio," noted a senior analyst of an investment company.
Overall, the indices of the UAE stock markets indicated an unambiguous focus on foreign financial markets, as well as a connection to the oil market. In such a situation, investors displayed caution in their operations, impacting the price drop of stocks in certain sectors of the country's economy.
