The "du" company officially announced the successful launch of the experimental fifth-generation network "5G-A". This step represents an important moment in the development of communication technologies for the next generation and strengthens the position of the UAE as the first country in the Middle East that effectively utilizes the transmission power of the fifth generation network under the guidance of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the government.
In its statement, "du" noted that it worked on the implementation of the next-generation fifth network, using a combination of sub-band frequency bands of the fifth generation "3 GHz" (Sub-3GHz) with sixth-generation frequencies "6 GHz" (U6GHz). The solutions of the fifth generation demonstrate a significant technological breakthrough in the development of mobile communication means, increasing data transmission speeds, reducing latency, and improving coverage in high-density conditions.
