President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered the release of 1,295 prisoners from correctional facilities during the holy month of Ramadan. His Highness is also obliged to settle all financial obligations arising from the release of prisoners, in honor of the Holy Month of Ramadan. This initiative reflects the presidential readiness to provide the incarcerated with an opportunity to start anew, alleviate the difficulties faced by their families, and contribute to stability in their domestic households and at the local level. The aim of this initiative is also tied to the joy of their loved ones during this blessed period.
"Our humanitarian mission is aimed at ensuring new opportunities for society as a whole, and the release of prisoners during Ramadan will help them start their lives anew with a clean slate," stated Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
