The Head of the Human Resources Department at OAA Bank for Development, Dr. Abir al-Sumeyti, emphasized that the bank is constantly working on the development of human capital, which in turn contributes to the success of the bank and the achievement of its goals at the sector level. For this purpose, initiatives, training programs, and various events are launched, which include establishing partnerships with various organizations to attract the best specialists and skills, organizing events and open discussions, enabling the involvement of employees in the development of the bank while allowing employees to express their ideas and constructive visions, and, of course, assessing their capabilities and strengthening their opportunities.

She noted that among the most important skills necessary for working at OAA Bank for Development, alongside professional qualifications, are ambidexterity, a culture of respect, innovation, engagement in activities, the ability to work in a team to achieve our national mission in the development sphere. She also highlighted the importance of a continuous commitment to development and training, and high professionalism for achieving the vision and strategic goals of the bank.

In the past year, more than 230 training programs were launched, covering the main business areas, technical skills, soft skills, and leadership. Special attention is given to supporting women and their participation, including conducting dialogues with senior executives for the development and strengthening of leadership talents among women.

The bank also provides numerous programs and initiatives to support the skill development of employees and new graduates. This includes leadership development programs for talented and prospective citizens, a certified training program for enhancing professional training, and programs in artificial intelligence that facilitate the development of necessary leadership and technical skills for following future trends.

The bank actively attracts new graduates from OAA, presenting them with the opportunity for professional internships, which helps them successfully integrate into work after completing the program. The “Graduate OAA” program, launched by the bank two years ago, provides participants with the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of specialized areas, accompanied by necessary guidance from senior management, ongoing support from the training and development team, as well as intensive training hours to strengthen essential business skills.
