According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, aluminum exports from the UAE to the United States in the first quarter of this year amounted to 600 million dollars. This is 44% more than the analogous period of the previous year. Positive dynamics is explained by increased demand for aluminum in the U.S. during the economic recovery period after the pandemic.
Overall, aluminum exports from the UAE grew by 21% and reached a mark of 175 million dollars in January-March 2021. This indicator confirms the prospects for the development of the aluminum industry in the United Arab Emirates.
"Aluminum exports continue to demonstrate sustainable growth due to active diversification of the economy and the implementation of new technologies in production," noted a representative of the UAE Ministry of Economy.
