The number of bank employees in the United Arab Emirates has exceeded 39,000 for the first time since 2015. This number included an additional 962 employees hired only in the last quarter of 2021. Most of them were recruited for positions in the field of technology and digitization of banking services.
One of the representatives of the banking sector noted that this growth in the number of employees is an indicator of the sustained development of the financial services industry in the country. "We are seeing an increase in the number of employees against the backdrop of a trend towards digitalization of banking activities and an increased demand for innovative solutions in this area," he noted.
Experts call for ensuring the capacity of the workforce and enhancing the qualifications of specialists to support sustainable growth in the sector in the future.
