The head of the aviation sector of Airbus Defence and Space, Jan Bris Dumon, emphasized that Airbus is a key partner in supporting the aviation industry in the UAE for many years. He noted that investment in localizing the production of aviation components in the UAE has allowed Emirati companies to develop production capabilities and manufacture components used in Airbus aircraft.

"All the Airbus aircraft produced at this moment are equipped with parts manufactured in the UAE," Dumon said in an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) concerning the signing of a new partnership agreement with Edge on the launch of production of the C295 transport aircraft's fuel tank.

Dumon presented Airbus's prospects in the UAE, highlighting the company's plans to increase its production capabilities in the country over the next decade. He emphasized that Airbus sees the UAE as a strategic long-term partner.

The Airbus executive noted that the company's localization efforts for aviation component production are not limited to manufacturing alone; they also include establishing a local knowledge base that contributes to the development of the entire aviation sector. He mentioned that the company's goals include not only satisfying local market needs but also creating an international center for the production of aviation assets in the UAE, which opens up broad prospects for Emirati industrial enterprises.
