
Arab writers gathered together to share their personal stories about life in the United Arab Emirates. Under the title "UAE Through the Eyes of Arabs," 16 Arab personalities narrated their stories about life and the country's development. The book was presented at the Muhammad Bin Rashid Library under the auspices of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and Dr. Abdalkhalik Abdallah.
At the event, which was accompanied by a discussion between the founder and owner of Barjeel Art Foundation, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, and academic Dr. Abdalkhalik Abdallah, it was noted that the UAE represents a unique society, capable of adapting to different cultures. Participants emphasized that every person finds their opportunities in the country, whether in work or creativity.
They noted that their book is a cultural project, shedding light on the cultural and social diversity in the country. The writers drew attention to the fact that the book opens the way for long-term documentation and history of the UAE. They emphasized the need to expand the project to include even more diverse social groups.
Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi spoke about the significance of the book as an opportunity for Arab migrants in the UAE to share their stories. He also expressed his respect for the history narrated in the book, noting that they represent a noteworthy portrait of the UAE through the eyes of the people who lived and worked there.
Dr. Abdalkhalik Abdallah stated that the project became a reality after meeting with Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, emphasizing the importance of the book's themes about how Arabs view the UAE. He also pointed out that the book reflects the country's development over the past 50 years and many stories from the writers reflect deep feelings of love and attachment to the place where they live.
At the meeting, a video was also shown in which the book participants expressed their prisms of the opportunities presented by the UAE, highlighting a defining role in the region and among the Arab world in actualizing progress and development.
