Spike in Tourism Bookings for Spring Break and Eid

Tourist agencies reported that the overlap of school holidays with the Eid Al-Fitr holiday led to an increase in bookings for tourist trips. Seven key markets have emerged as leaders in bookings: Japan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, Thailand, Malta, and Austria. According to representatives of tourist agencies, preferences of Emirati travelers vary from well-known European capitals to Asian destinations with their unique tourist opportunities. As noted by General Director of "Al-Reis Travel Group" Mohamad Jasim Al-Reis, the growth in demand for tourist trips was noted in connection with the universal holidays and the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Bookings were made at the end of March and the beginning of April. He added that, among preferences, Emirati travelers leaned towards European destinations, such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, and Asian destinations, like Japan and Thailand. According to the data, Austrian and Russian destinations also continue to be in demand.

Regional Director of "Dubai World Travel" Badr Akhli confirmed that offers with outstanding natural attractions, historical sites, and entertainment are in peak interest among Emirati tourists. He highlighted such destinations as the United Kingdom, Japan, Switzerland, France, Thailand, Malta, and Austria, noting their cultural and natural diversity, catering to the tastes of various travelers.

Many families from the UAE are gathering to spend the holidays abroad, having previously used school and holiday breaks. Some may delay trips due to high airfares in late March and early April, targeting lower-cost options and the absence of family groups. Bookings in traditional directions of Europe, such as the United Kingdom, France, and Spain, as well as Eastern European and Asian countries, such as Thailand and Malaysia, have increased, as noted by tourism agencies. Therefore, tour operators are offering a wide variety of tourist packages, including flights, luxury hotel accommodations, excursions, and transportation.
