In 2025, the UAE celebrated a series of cultural and scientific achievements that strengthened national identity and protected heritage, launching new initiatives, opening museums, enacting heritage protection laws, and engaging in international cooperation that highlighted the country's status as a global hub for knowledge and creativity.

In 2025, the UAE experienced a series of cultural and scientific achievements that strengthened national identity and protected heritage, with new initiatives launched, museums opened, and heritage protection laws signed, along with international participation and cultural cooperation that highlighted the UAE’s status as a global hub for knowledge and creativity.

Key initiatives included designating Sheikh Zayed Farm in Al Khwaij as a national heritage site, the federal cabinet adopting a law to protect cultural heritage, and the Ministry of Culture adopting a national policy for preserving modern architectural heritage.

New museums opened, including the Tim Lab Vinemina Abu Dhabi museum of digital arts, the Zayed National Museum, the Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum, and the Duma Museum of Dubai Arts, while the Department of Culture and Tourism announced archaeological discoveries such as a Iron Age cemetery in Al Ain and new data from Ghaleh.

Additionally, the 2025 Abu Dhabi International Book Fair hosted over 400,000 visitors, and Sharjah’s 44th International Book Fair welcomed more than 1.4 million guests, while the UAE participated in restoration projects of cultural sites in Mosul, supported the Arab Reading Challenge, and extended cultural coverage to elevate literacy.
