The National Orchestra of the United Arab Emirates has released the musical piece «Men and God is Men» with lyrics by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the state. This work honors the nation's protectors and their courage and dedication in defending citizens and residents. Rooted in the UAE's musical heritage and featuring musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, the National Orchestra highlights the role of orchestral music in showcasing the identity and rich cultural fabric of the nation. The piece combines orchestral music with choral vocals, presenting the President's poem in a new musical arrangement that reflects the protectors' courage and their commitment to serving and defending the country. Founded to reflect the cultural voice of the UAE and promote unity and harmony among its people through music, the orchestra presents this composition, written by Mohammed Ahmed and newly orchestrated by composer and arranger Ahmed Mogi. Musicians and the choir come together to create a musical blend that highlights the piece's rhythmic richness and expressive traditions, employing modern orchestral colors. The musical performance begins with a choral segment that sets the rhythmic and sonic foundation, followed by the gradual entry of the full orchestra. As the piece evolves, the orchestral sound layers build, culminating in the addition of soprano voices that bring a contemplative depth and harmony to the final section. Minister of State and Chair of the National Orchestra's Board of Directors, Sheikha Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, stated: «The poem 'Men and God is Men' sheds light on the values of courage, dedication, and sacrifice embodied by the heroes who protect the UAE and its people». Sheikha Alia bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Director General of the National Orchestra, said: «The National Orchestra carries the responsibility of expressing the nation's voice through music, and this message takes on multiplied importance at these moments. Through this work, the orchestra seeks to express the nation's gratitude to them, while reminding us of the influential role culture plays in highlighting our national values and shared identity».
