Dubai Sees 59% Increase in Parking Fines

Parkin, the largest provider of public parking facilities and services in Dubai, revealed a 59% increase in the total number of fines issued in the fourth quarter of 2025, reaching 810.2 thousand violations, compared to 509 thousand violations in the same quarter of 2024. The company stated in a disclosure published on the Dubai Financial Market that public parking violations constituted 80% of the total violations in Q4 2025 (around 650 thousand violations), versus 424 thousand violations in the same period of 2024. It said: "This increase in the number of scanned vehicles and issued fines reflects the general increase in user activity, the expansion of the parking portfolio, and technical improvements and efficiency enhancements within the control system, in addition to the expansion of the smart patrol vehicle fleet to 27 vehicles." As for the revenues generated from fines, the company reported a 65% increase to reach 127.1 million dirhams in Q4 2025, compared to 77 million dirhams in Q4 2024. It noted that the overall fine collection rate stood at 81% in Q4 2025, compared to 85% in Q4 2024, indicating a decline in the collection rate despite the overall growth in fines and revenues.
