Khaled Mohamed Al Baqali, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE, stated: «The Central Bank's attainment of the BS 13500 certification from the British Standards Institution reaffirms our commitment to implementing the highest standards of corporate governance and reinforces our position as a regulatory institution built on trust and transparency». The certificate was received by Ibrahim Said Mohammed Al Hashimi, Assistant Governor of the Central Bank for the Executive Office and Secretary-General of the Board of Directors, from representatives of the British Standards Institution, marking this institutional achievement.
