The art festival "Forgan" in Dubai turned out to be a platform for the creative self-expression of many local talents. More than 200 artists were represented at the festival, showcasing their artistic and theatrical works in over 60 masterclasses.
The Nuwa Al-Balushi created an artwork under the title "Gorshki and History," emotively depicting the profound legacy of Arab culture. Her work reflects the traditions of women sitting around a pot to share stories, passing on wisdom and history through generations.
Particular attention was paid to such artworks as "Havein, What Carries Us," created by artists Amna bint Bashir, Dana and Danya Aljalalan, Fatima al-Mahmoud, who captured the spirit of the traditional Emirati way of life, where families and friends gather to share moments of joy, grief, and community.
The structure of the festival included not only the creative works of artists but also masterclasses from various organizations and institutions, such as the Dubai Culture Center, in collaboration with the International Center Jalila for children's culture and Shkalamai Hayat and Sxill Lab, to conduct masterclasses on various forms of art over five days.
The initiative called "Historical Heritage of Dubai" attracted festival visitors and helped record the history of primitive inhabitants, describing their ancestral or familial collection, the time of living, as well as the heritage of the future and the visions of participants about the future of Dubai and their hopes for it.
The festival organizers emphasize the importance of supporting and promoting local talents in various fields of art, considering the festival an ideal environment for passing on heritage and creativity between generations, as well as for supporting Emirati talents on the path to new horizons.
