In Dubai, the annual cultural competition among employees on the occasion of International Women's Day was launched. It involves women working in the electric and water supply company. The total number of female employees of the organization is 1,939, of which 579 work in administrative positions. The proportion of women in leadership positions is 37.12%, which is one of the highest rates in the world.

The striving for gender equality and the acceleration of progress in various fields, as well as raising awareness of the role of women in sustainable development, are the main tasks of this year's competition. Moreover, it aims to highlight the achievements of women both locally and globally.

Holding a meeting with the female members of the company's committee, the acting director of the Dubai organization for electricity and water remarked that the participation of women in the process of development and progress comes from the previous approach established by one of the prominent leaders of the country, and is also supported by wise guidelines from leading figures in the government.

Saeed Mohammed Al-Tayer also congratulated women on International Women's Day 2025, calling them an inspiring example for all women and workers in general. He noted that the Emirates model of women, which shines brightly developed in the country, is key to progress and advancement.
