Recently, the Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai published the book «The Extraordinary Envoy.. Ahmed Al Jasmi», which explores the life and rich artistic experience of the artist Ahmed Al Jasmi. The book is part of the «Icons of the Emirates» series, which has documented the lives of dozens of cultural figures in the UAE. It is written by the playwright Abdullah Abdelqader. The 294-page book includes testimonials from Mohammed Al Amiri, Dr. Yousif Aydabi, and Dr. Habib Galloum, as well as dozens of photos documenting the history of theater in the UAE through the persona of Ahmed Al Jasmi and selected scenes from his many performances spanning over 40 years. It is worth noting that the «Icons of the Emirates» project is a cultural documentation series aimed at highlighting the lives and biographies of prominent Emirati personalities across various scientific, literary, and artistic fields. The project includes the publication of documentary books on influential Emirati figures, such as poets, writers, and thinkers who have left their mark on the cultural life of the UAE. It seeks to document the biographies of prominent Emirati personalities, showcase their achievements and contributions in various domains, introduce new generations to the history and culture of the UAE, and encourage research and exploration of Emirati heritage.
