Mohammed Bin Rashid Library's April Cultural Program

In April, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library presents a diverse cultural and educational program that combines arts, heritage, family awareness, and intellectual dialogues through a series of specialized events targeting various age groups. These events highlight the library's role as a vital platform for knowledge, interaction, and creativity. The month's events commence with World Fine Art Day, where the library opens its doors to Emirati and resident artists of all nationalities to showcase their works in a vibrant cultural space. This event celebrates visual creativity and fosters dialogue among different artistic schools and experiences. During this occasion, the library's halls transform into an open platform for inspiration, featuring live drawing sessions where artists create in front of the public. This interactive experience allows visitors to follow the artistic process moment by moment and enjoy a unique artistic atmosphere. The program also includes live drawing workshops for youth aimed at honing their skills and nurturing their creative sensibilities, along with interactive art experiences that allow people of all ages to express themselves through colors and participate in creating collective and individual artworks, fostering a spirit of participation and artistic belonging. In line with its commitment to promoting cultural identity and introducing younger generations to local heritage, the library, in cooperation with the Hamdan bin Mohammed Centre for Heritage Revival, is organizing a children's workshop titled 'Emirati Al-Siini and Al-Rumasa.' This workshop offers children the opportunity to learn about elements of Emirati heritage through practical, interactive activities that strengthen their connection to their national identity in a simple and enjoyable manner. As part of its efforts to spread financial culture in a simplified and practical way, the library is hosting its second awareness session titled 'Numbers Aren't as Scary as They Seem.' Participants will learn the basics of reading numbers, data, and financial indicators, which enhances their confidence in handling daily financial information and supports more conscious and balanced decision-making. Furthermore, in April, the library will host the second educational session, 'The Emotional Code for Children,' as part of the Year of Family activities. This session focuses on understanding children's behaviors and emotions, alongside providing practical tools to help parents and caregivers read children's emotional needs and create a safer, more supportive environment for their psychological and educational growth.
